Who is eligible for the workshops? Leadership personnel and full and part-time staff members of projects under the Federal TRIO Programs. Additionally, individuals preparing for employment as staff or leadership personnel in projects under the Federal TRIO Programs.

Note for Priority 1: UB staff who aspire to work in other TRIO Programs can attend a SAEOPP Priority 1 workshop.

Does it cost to attend the workshop? No! There is no registration fee.

How do I register for the workshops? Easy registration is an online process. If you encounter problems while registering, contact the SAEOPP Center at 404-522-4642.

Can I attend a workshop for both Priorities, 1 and 3? Absolutely!!

How long would I be out of the office? Generally, three [3] days for Priority 1 and 4 days for Priority 3.

How long does it take to be notified of acceptance? As soon as you complete ALL of the registration process with the requisite documentation, a confirmation letter will be emailed to you.

What expenses would I incur as a participant? Your major expenses, which are allowable in your TRIO grants, are the transportation to the venue and lodging at very reasonable rates [between $109 - $139]. We provide continental breakfasts and lunches; dinners are on your own.

Are stipends provided for participation?  Yes! A $100 Travel Allowance will be provided to trainees who fully participate in the workshops.

 

I do not work in the SAEOPP region. Can I attend the SAEOPP TRIO Training Workshops? Yes! SAEOPP conducts nationwide training in several TRIO regions to assure accessibility to prospective training participants You are welcome to attend any of them.

 

What will participants take away in the form of resources? An E-Manual [compact disc] with the workshop presentations and other relevant resources to your TRIO programs are provided to each participants

 

What content knowledge can participants expect to gain? The workshop content is directly related to the 3 foci of the training topics. However, should you have other programmatic concerns, feel free to discuss them with your assigned consultant/mentor.

 

How will the needs of TRIO personnel with varying levels of experience be met? At least 1 of the SAEOPP workshops in each Priority will target new TRIO staff, i.e., with less than 2 years of experience.

Can I attend workshops offered by different training grantees? Yes, all grantees offer nationwide training that is available to TRIO personnel in any region.
