Welcome to SAEOPP Membership!
The Southeastern Association of Educational Opportunity Program Personnel (SAEOPP) is the regional association of TRIO program personnel representing the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. The Mission of SAEOPP is to promote and support equal educational opportunity and access to postsecondary education. Through professional development, networking, research and advocacy, SAEOPP provides TRIO personnel and others with the necessary skills and techniques to assure that the least advantaged have equal access to higher education.

Membership Categories
The SAEOPP Membership year is October 1 – September 30
ACTIVE PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP is available to persons currently or formerly employed full-time in the administration or general operation of TRIO and other educational opportunity programs located in AL, FL, GA, KY, MS, NC, SC, and TN. In order to be an Active Professional Member, one must pay both the SAEOPP annual dues and his/her state association dues. Dues may be renewed or paid each year from August 1 until October 31. Dues become delinquent if postmarked or hand delivered after October 31. Active Professional Members are entitled to one vote and are eligible to hold office and committee appointments.
ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP is available to persons currently or formerly employed less than full-time in the administration or general operation of TRIO and other educational opportunity programs located in the states of AL, FL, GA, KY, MS, NC, SC, and TN. In order to be an Associate Member, one must pay both the SAEOPP annual dues and his/her state association dues. Dues may be renewed or paid each year from August 1 until October 31. Dues become delinquent if postmarked or hand delivered after October 31. Associate Members are entitled to one vote and are eligible to hold committee appointments. They are not eligible to hold an elected office.
AFFILIATE MEMBERSHIP is available to persons who support the SAEOPP Mission and Goals, but who do not qualify for Active Professional or Associate Membership. In order to be an Affiliate Member, one must pay the annual SAEOPP dues at a rate which is one-half that charged for Active Professional and Associate Membership. Affiliate members have voice but no vote in Association meetings and are not eligible to hold an elective office or committee appointment.
PROJECT MEMBERSHIP is available to all TRIO programs in the SAEOPP region. For Project Membership, each TRIO program must pay the applicable fee according to the scale established by the SAEOPP Board. This membership does not have voice or vote, but affords programs the privilege of registering no more than two representatives at a reduced rate or at no cost for workshops approved by the Board. Project memberships support regional scholarships as well as a state member's attendance at Policy Seminar.
Membership Renewal
Membership in SAEOPP may be renewed one of two ways:
- Online Renewal
- Go directly to C-Vent and renew your individual membership online with a credit card.
- Go directly to C-Vent and renew your project membership online with a credit card.
- PDF Form
- Print the Individual Membership Renewal Form and mail it to the address below.
- Print the Project Membership Renewal Form and mail it to the address below.
